Artist Statement
This composition encapsulates the tension between signal and noise through a strategic use of color and pattern. The palette (navy, black, single white, and dim cyan) represents a lonely signal lost within the chaos of interference. The predominant navy invokes a sense of depth and calm, while vibrant white dots emerge as the clear pulse, battling against the static texture of the black and dim cyan 'islands.' The central collision, where the clean pulse intersects with chaotic noise, evokes the emotional struggle of clarity amidst confusion. The layout of eroded symmetry allows for a subtle interplay of quiet and dense regions, reflecting the narrative of a fragmented signal striving to emerge from pervasive noise.
