Artist Statement
This piece embodies the contrasting emotional currents of fear and hope. The palette, consisting of dark violet for depth, soft gold for warmth, and pale green for renewal, encapsulates this dichotomy. The dark hues represent weight and anxiety while the lighter shades evoke lightness and possibility. Color placement creates a visually disrupted pattern; the sparse glowing pixels intersperse dense clusters, mirroring moments of clarity amidst uncertainty. The split pattern emphasizes a vertical tension, embodying the push-and-pull between despair and aspiration. Broken edges enhance the sense of imperfection and unpredictability, mirroring the emotional fragility of the experience.
