Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the struggle between desire and restraint, where bright, saturated colors push against muted borders, suggesting a restless emotional landscape. Using colors from the 'desire_emptiness' palette, the saturated coral and blood orange vibrate with urgency, while the cooler charcoal and hollow blue encapsulate feelings of calm and restraint. The main collision occurs at the center, where a vertical band of saturated colors meets a seeping edge of muted tones, creating a dynamic interplay of pressure and release, encapsulating the themes in the seed.
