Artist Statement
The emotional tone is characterized by a struggle between the intense pull of desire and the quiet restraints of limitation. The color palette, combining red_oxide for warmth with muted_cream for restraint, creates a vivid contrast. The placement features saturated colors colliding against quieter tones in a patchwork style that symbolizes both growth and obstruction. This is further emphasized through broken pixels that create a sense of imperfection and insufficient convergence, suggesting a continuous pull against boundaries. The main collision occurs in the center, where vibrant red_oxide meets the grounded blackened_plum, drawing the viewer’s eye into the conflict.
