Artist Statement
The emotional tone of the artwork embodies a struggle between control and surrender. The palette combines warm rose clay and lamp gold with cooler distant lilac and cool blue to create emotional resonance. The dominant hues create a tension that echoes the seed's themes. Control is expressed through the structured crosshatch pattern, while the checker pattern symbolizes surrender, creating direct visual conflict. The collision occurs centrally, where thick outlines and interruptions manifest as broken pixels, suggesting tension and pressure building towards potential release. The resulting pattern feels introspective, inviting contemplation of emotional states within abstract constructs.
