Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional push-pull between longing and resolve, as represented through color and structure. The central field employs 'halo' patterns suggesting warmth and distance, primarily using soft hues of distant lilac and cool blue to embody the feeling of longing. In contrast, the 'flood' pattern expresses strength and resolve through deeper tones of warm shadow and lamp gold. The collision occurs in the centerspace where these two emotions interact, creating a tension that amplifies the disorder of broken pixels, signifying repair amidst damage. The 10% negative space gently balances the emotional intensity, allowing for reflection without overwhelming pressure. The arrangement yields a serene yet urgent atmosphere, reflective of the seed's themes.
