Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional tension between desire and emptiness. The warm hues of hot coral and blood orange signify desire, spreading from the corner, while charcoal and hollow blue elements represent emptiness, creating a contrast of warmth against coolness. The intentional imperfections, represented by broken pixels, disrupt an otherwise static desire pattern, echoing the theme of containment and overflow. The center of the grid becomes a focal point where these tensions collide, suggesting a struggle between the urge to expand and the boundaries of restraint.
