Artist Statement
This piece captures the juxtaposition of control and surrender through an inward spiral flow. The dark palette emphasizes a sense of pressure and containment, while the sudden bursts of pale blue and white signify moments of release and quiet. The collision occurs centrally, where cracks of color break the solid black, representing both the struggle against control and the yielding moment of surrender. The quiet channel of negative space enhances the emotional tension by highlighting the contrast between dense patterns and serene voids.
