Artist Statement
The emotional tone juxtaposes dread and relief, with the palette of pale mint, storm gray, and faded gold accentuating the shifting emotional states. The top four rows create a heavy, clustered texture reflecting dread through a dark hue gradient, while the bottom four rows lighten with mint channels, introducing airiness. The collision of dense dark and loose light symbolizes the struggle between pressure and release, echoing the spiral and broken line motifs from the seed. The broken pixels serve as intentional disruptions, amplifying the emotional narrative.
