Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between relief and dread through a strategic arrangement of colors. The palette mixes cool tones of 'storm_gray' and 'near_black' with lighter shades like 'pale_mint' and 'faded_gold' to depict the interplay of heaviness and release. The dense cluster of darker colors in one corner creates a feeling of pressure, while the lighter shades expand toward the opposite side, suggesting a gradual relief. The collision between these contrasting areas is most concentrated near the lower left, inviting viewers to interpret the chaotic emergence of relief from a state of dread. The layout follows a hollow center, enhancing the sense of void while maintaining an imbalance that reflects inner turmoil and release.
