Artist Statement
This piece embodies the tension between connection and loneliness, utilizing a palette of deep reds, soft pinks, and muted grays to evoke feelings of warmth against isolation. The chosen colors create a contrast where the deep hues suggest weight and emotional gravity, while lighter shades offer a glimpse of connection. The placement of darker pixels at the edges evokes a sense of being surrounded by heaviness, while central lighter pixels represent fleeting moments of connection, reflecting the push and pull of human emotions. The abstract pattern thus is a mirror of the complexities in relationships, where some areas are dense and rich (representing connections), while others are sparse and empty, echoing moments of solitude.
