Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional collision between awe and terror. The dark colors represent the depth of terror, while the soft gold and pale green provide moments of awe, capturing the fleeting sense of hope against the overwhelming weight of fear. The arrangement of colors reflects the argument of rising and falling emotions, where stable dark hues clash with unstable lighter colors, creating a rhythmic flow reminiscent of tension and release. The layout of patterns creates a visual representation of pressure and quiet through careful distribution, avoiding dense pressure while leaving negative spaces that suggest breaths of relief amid the chaos.
