Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional dichotomy of fear and hope, using a dark palette contrasted with small accents of brightness. The use of dark colors like black and dark violet represents fear, creating an oppressive atmosphere that pushes towards the edges. The soft gold serves as a beacon of hope, broken up by the starkness of the surrounding dark colors. The pattern flows in a zigzag, symbolizing the collision of emotions, creating tension in the viewer. The arrangement of colors emphasizes conflict and interplay, leaving enough negative space to prevent overwhelming density, suggesting moments of relief amid pressure.
