Artist Statement
This composition explores the tensions of tenderness and rage through contrasting color usage. The selected palette of red, black, pale blue, and white symbolize the dynamic between explosive rage and gentler tones of tenderness. The rage has an emphasis in the surrounding rings, creating pressure around a muted central beacon pattern, which symbolizes a quiet heart amidst chaos. The use of broken pixels introduces imperfections, echoing the emotional scars of guilt and forgiveness. The overall flow radiates from the center outwards, emphasizing the inner battle that shapes our external experiences.
