Artist Statement
This artwork plays with the tension between gentleness and fury, using colors to represent the calm of tenderness and the explosive nature of rage. The palette combines deep reds and blacks for rage, with soft pale blues and whites to signify tenderness. The diagonal layout reflects an underlying conflict, where the jagged edges of the red sharply encounter the smoother bands of blue, creating an emotional collage of colliding moods. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, suggesting the scars left by guilt and forgiveness, allowing the viewer to feel the weight of this duality.
