Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a duality of defiance against submission. The palette combines vibrant electric blue and lime as bold accents that symbolize defiance, contrasting with softer magenta and black representing submission. The main collision occurs in the center, where bold lines of 'defiance' channels spiral inward, interrupted by softer crosshatch textures of 'submission.' This creates a feeling of pressure and release, representing the push-pull of the emotions suggested by the seed. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, reflecting real emotional conflicts. The negative space is intentionally focused around the edges, allowing for a dense center that feels alive and charged.
