Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional duality of love and betrayal, using a contrasting palette of warm and cool tones to highlight the intensity of each feeling. The reds and pinks symbolize love, while grays and dark maroon introduce a feeling of betrayal and disarray. The arrangement creates an almost mirrored effect with deliberate corrupted pixels, representing the slight fractures in relationships. The tension lies in the placement of brighter colored pixels that punctuate the muted surroundings, creating pockets of emotional collision and contrast. The overall structure suggests a balance of serenity interrupted by chaos, reflecting the complexities of human emotion.
