Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between loneliness and connection. The muted palette of sepia and faded blue reflects nostalgia and calmness, contrasting with the vibrant central burst of color that symbolizes fleeting moments of connection. The edges are intentionally left soft, enhancing the feeling of a gentle boundary. The tension is highlighted in the arrangement, with denser patterns clustered in the middle representing connection, while the periphery remains sparse and fragmented, invoking loneliness. The interplay of broken pixels introduces an element of imperfection, suggesting that both loneliness and connection are inherently flawed.
