Artist Statement
The emotional tone balances the contrasting feelings of loneliness and connection. The chosen palette of blacks, dark violets, soft golds, and pale greens reflects the interplay of heavy shadows and fleeting light, depicting loneliness in the top four rows with grid patterns suggesting isolation, while the bottom four rows present a striped pattern symbolizing connection. The main collision occurs at the midline where dark and light hues clash, echoing the struggle between solitude and togetherness, as defined by the seed’s themes. The gradual transition from dense negativity at the top to lighter associations below follows the guiding layout of split horizontal flow, allowing tension to resolve in a softer expression of connection.
