Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional collision of awe and terror through a dynamic interplay of color and pattern. The chosen palette of lime, electric blue, magenta, and black reflects a machine emotion, creating a vibrant yet chaotic feel. The contrast type of stable vs unstable plays out as the central filled square, representing internal pressure, is visually surrounded by stripes reminiscent of awe and rains of terror. The downward-flowing layout suggests tears or falling ash, while broken pixels introduce a sense of imperfection, evoking a raw emotional response. The arrangement balances clusters of intensity with negative space, allowing for moments of breath amidst pressure, encapsulating the feelings of collision beautifully.
