Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension of desire and restraint through contrasting colors and spatial arrangement. The sharp contrast occurs along the edges, creating a dynamic tension where the brighter colors suggest overflow against the muted backgrounds, echoing the push and pull of emotional states. The layout features a halo structure, with vivid colors radiating from the center, reinforcing the idea of desire pressing outward while restrained by the darker hues.
