Artist Statement
The emotional tone encapsulates the tension between joy and grief, portraying the struggle of rising against falling. The palette of yellow and deep blue symbolically represents joy and grief respectively, allowing for a strong contrast. The upward movement on one side (joy) is juxtaposed with subdued, darker hues on the other (grief) to create a visual conflict. Broken pixels suggest imperfection within the emotion, reflecting the human experience of joy's fragility amidst grief.
