Artist Statement
The emotional tone here bridges the heaviness of panic against the quiet force of control. Utilizing a palette of navy, black, and dim cyan evokes feelings of solitude and depth. The stable (navy and cyan) contrasts with the unstable black, creating emotional tension throughout the piece. The arrangement of pixel patterns visually represents a rise and fall, echoing a dynamic narrative of pressure and eventual release, as rows alternate in color density to symbolize varying emotional weights. This layering creates intricate intersections where warmth clashes with cold spaces, mirroring the complexities of emotional collisions.
