Artist Statement
This composition reflects an emotional dialogue between vulnerability and strength, with a stark contrast represented through the palette. The muted creams and red oxides symbolize a fragile core surrounded by harder, darker tones of blackened plum and iron gray that provide a boundary yet invite intrusion. The collision occurs principally in the center where the static, dense patterns of strength intersect with the delicate, dispersed dots of vulnerability, creating a tension between protection and exposure. The negative space enhances the feeling of isolation, while the broken pixels introduce subtle disruptions, embodying the scars of experience.
