Artist Statement
The emotional tone balances between warmth of desire and the coolness of restraint. The palette of red oxide and muted cream evokes urgency while simultaneously depicting containment. The contrast is mainly felt at the center, where saturated reds collide with muted tones, creating a vibrant echo against a contained lattice. The spiral pressure flows outward, encapsulating the dynamics of push and pull, akin to love and betrayal, through the juxtaposition of colorful disruption against locked negative spaces.
