Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional dichotomy of longing and resolve. The palette, 'broken_memory', features muted sepia and faded blues that evoke nostalgia and introspection, with dusty grays providing a contrast that suggests repair and disrepair. The central area features a cluster of darker tones to symbolize 'resolve', while lighter shades define 'longing' around the periphery. The pattern logic uses a frame of tenderness edging against a sharp negative cross, creating an encapsulation of desires unmet but firmly contrasted by the strength of resolve.
