Artist Statement
The emotional tone juxtaposes restlessness with peace. The chosen palette of burnt orange and dark red evokes a sense of warmth and urgency, while the charcoal and gold suggest quietness and clarity. The primary contrast lies in the placement of dense elements of darker tones (representing restlessness) against lighter, more open spaces (acting as a peace-filled refuge). The seed translated into an abstract pattern through the use of a scattered repair layout, where concentrated areas collide with quiet expanses, emphasizing the emotional tussle.
