Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the dynamic interplay between emptiness and desire, illustrated through a contrasting palette of burnt orange, dark red, charcoal, and gold. The layout evokes a sense of falling, capturing the descent of emotions reminiscent of tears or rain. The central contrast is marked by the dark, charcoal tones at the edges encroaching upon warmer colors at the center. The use of broken pixels introduces imperfections, giving a raw feel that speaks to the complexity of emotional experiences, like the collision of calm and chaos. This abstract representation of 'tear' emerges through asymmetrical placements that disrupt and flow, utilizing negative space to enhance tension and release throughout the composition.
