Artist Statement
The emotional tone revolves around the juxtaposition of pressure and release, captured through the choice of a stark color palette featuring black and pale blue to symbolize rage and calmness. The primary collision happens at the diagonal axis, where the dark tones of black and deep red create a framework that contrasts with the lighter, more ethereal blues and whites. This interplay is reflective of the emotional landscape suggested by the seed, where inner tension from black is met with calming lightness from pale blue, accentuating feelings of nostalgia and progress through an 'inside vs outside' dynamic. The broken pixel aesthetic enhances the imperfections, embodying emotional turbulence and fragmented memories.
