Artist Statement
This composition embodies the duality of longing and resolve through a split layout, reflecting the emotional tension inherent in the seed's themes. The upper half utilizes a checker pattern—a representation of longing—playing with pale mint and faded gold colors that evoke softness and warmth, suggestive of an unfinished journey. The bottom half, structured with static patterns in storm gray and near-black, signifies resolve and strength, incorporating the concept of locked shapes. The collision occurs in the center where the soft upper divides sharply into the dense lower, creating a visual echo of tension, while broken pixels introduce deliberate imperfections. This balance between serene and urgent, incompleteness and solidity manifests the layered emotional narrative.
