Artist Statement
This artwork represents the emotional duality of vulnerability and strength through a mix of warm and cool colors. The central focus is a soft, pale ivory, symbolizing vulnerability, surrounded by deeper colors like deep wine and ash gray, representing strength and weight. The broken pixels disrupt the harmony, conveying fragility amidst resilience. The contrast between thin lines of the channel patterns and the thicker tides creates tension, while the receding edges give a sense of space and safety around the exposed center, establishing a balance between exposure and shelter.
