Artist Statement
This abstract piece conveys a mood of quiet tension and emotional collision, reflecting the duality of longing and resolve. The selected palette combines soft tones of powder pink and warm white with sharp crimson and deep carbon black, embodying both vulnerability and strength. The predominant use of broken dots (representing longing) creates interrupted patterns against a quiet field of gray (symbolizing resolve), leading to a central collision that visually acts as a hinge—where emotion meets structure. The tension emerges in the middle, with edges eroded to evoke feelings of imperfection and repair, while pockets of negative space enhance both separation and connection.
