Artist Statement
The emotional tone combines feelings of dread against moments of relief, captured through the use of contrasting colors and spatial arrangement. The palette consists of deep black for dread, light blue for moments of relief, and red as an accent for tension. The layout, inspired by the concept of corner invasion, emphasizes a bright blue dot emerging from a dark mass, symbolizing the struggle against weight. The collision occurs where reds and blacks interface, creating a dynamic interplay of emotions, while negative space is used strategically to highlight the tension and imbalance between the two states.
