Artist Statement
This composition encapsulates the emotional tension between emptiness and desire. The chosen palette of warm hues (hot coral and blood orange) represents the warmth of craving, while the cool tones (charcoal and hollow blue) signify the cold grip of containment. The arrangement features dense clusters of warm colors colliding with sparse, quiet blue fields. The pattern creates a rhythmic struggle, suggesting an overflow of desire meeting the tension of restraint. The collision is recognized at the center, where the densely packed warm colors disrupt the cooler edges. This represents the overwhelming nature of longing against the stark reminder of limits.
