Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a tension between the desire for connection (longing) and a sense of determination (resolve). The palette combines soft, inviting colors like powder pink and warm white with stark contrasts of carbon black and sharp crimson to evoke both warmth and severity. The primary collision occurs in the center where the glitch patterns from resolve interrupt the smoother stepwell patterns from longing, creating a dynamic interplay. The placement and choice of broken pixels add an enriching imperfection, enhancing the themes of repair and damage, while negative spaces preserve a sense of serenity amidst urgency.
