Artist Statement
This piece encapsulates the emotional dichotomy between restlessness and peace by utilizing a palette of muted earth tones contrasted against vibrant highlights. The top half represents restlessness with a chaotic pattern of noise, creating visual tension with harsh edges and interruptions. The bottom half embodies peace through softer, flowing arrangements in cooler shades to suggest calmness. The interaction occurs through overlapping blocks where the two emotions collide, symbolizing the struggle between yearning for movement and the need for stillness. The broken pixels strategically disrupt the flow, emphasizing imperfection and the unpredictability of emotion.
