Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies the conflict between joy and grief, reflected in the contrasting palette of vibrant yellows and muted blues. Joy’s warmth and expansion emerge primarily in the central area, merging with the coldness of grief that seeps in from the sides. The color placement creates tension and an asymmetric flow, with brighter hues demanding attention while the darker tones provide an underlying weight. The layout, focused on a diffused central seed, contrasts dense clusters with negative space, echoing the experience of emotional highs and lows.
