Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between quiet and pressure. The palette combines muted tones of off-white, dust gray, and faint peach, representing the quiet field, with sharper contrasts from compressed red and dark navy, symbolizing layered pressure. The intense colors are densely clustered on one side, representing a buildup of pressure, while the quieter tones gradually disperse, creating a sense of release. This arrangement visually echoes the struggle between confinement and liberation, as suggested by the seed's nuances of symmetry versus break. The lower-left corner serves as a focal point of collision, where density meets spaciousness, invoking reflection between hard edges and soft gradients.
