Artist Statement
The emotional tone blends the sharp contrast of life and death, energy and residue, shaping the grid into a visual argument. The palette features muted tones that evoke the ash, complemented by sudden sparks of brighter colors to denote energy and life. The main collision occurs diagonally across the center, with the jagged edges suggesting a struggle between the two forces. The negative space is achieved by keeping some areas less dense, allowing for a visual 'breath' amid the chaos. The patterns of ripple and cross echo the conceptual theme of tension and release, ultimately creating a balanced yet dynamic composition.
