Artist Statement
The artwork explores the emotional tension between dread and relief. The warm colors of burnt orange and gold contrast with the cool dark reds and charcoals, symbolizing a clash of heavy feelings against a lighter, more hopeful backdrop. The left side represents 'dread' through radial patterns of deeper hues that evoke a sense of pressure, while the right side symbolizes 'relief' with brighter, more open patterns, creating visual echoes and interruptions that suggest a journey through conflicting emotions.
