Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between the concepts of quiet and pressure through a dense center slowly releasing towards the edges. The chosen palette of off-white, dust gray, compressed red, dark navy, and faint peach juxtaposes quiet softness against harder, more compressive colors. The strong collision occurs in the center where the red and navy clash, representing intense pressure, while the outer edges fade into the softer colors, symbolizing quiet and release. This dichotomy echoes the seed’s themes of clarity vs confusion and hard vs soft edges, creating an interplay of density and space that invites contemplation.
