Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional spectrum between control and surrender. The palette combines the darkness of black and dark violet, suggesting pressure and restraint, with the lighter tones of pale green and soft gold, symbolizing hope and gentle relinquishment. The arrangement creates a visual collision in the center, where organic lattice patterns of 'surrender' break into the structured ash field of 'control,' disrupting the overall order while still offering open gates of negative space that invite viewer contemplation. The presence of broken pixels additionally signifies moments of interruption, aligning with the concept of lonely signals amidst the chaos of reality.
