Artist Statement
This composition reflects the struggle between defiance and submission, embodied through a blend of dark and light, dense and sparse color spaces. The palette—rich in warm coral, cold slate, and signal cyan—creates dynamic contrasts, with dark hues representing resistance and lighter shades hinting at surrender. The background features an array of soft amber and cold slate, with patches of deeper hues sparsely breaking through, suggesting an inward spiral. The main collision occurs towards the center where colors intertwine, predominantly dominated by the defiant hues, yet revealing submission in the quieter corners. The broken pixels introduce intentional disruption, mimicking the struggle within the defined emotional terrain.
