Artist Statement
The emotional tone is defined by the juxtaposition of loneliness and connection, evoking a sense of tension between isolation and the desire to be connected. The colors chosen from the 'fear_hope' palette – black for depth and solitude, dark violet for the complexity of emotion, soft gold for fleeting moments of connection, and pale green for growth and healing – represent this duality. The arrangement radiates from the center, creating a burst of color that contrasts with the surrounding darker hues, representing the struggle and yearning associated with connection. The use of soft edges enhances the feeling of vulnerability, while the radial pattern signifies both loneliness and the faint glimmer of hope that connection brings.
