Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional conflict between restlessness and peace. The palette features cool tones with gentle mint and soft sky colors juxtaposed against deeper storm gray and near black, reflecting the turmoil and calm. The main contrast emerges from the collision of orderly echoing patterns in the top half with the chaotic, thread-like motifs in the lower half, creating a visual representation of internal discord. The symmetrical flow of the piece, along with the split horizontal layout, channels the 'star' shape seed metaphorically, suggesting a luminous core battling against the darkness surrounding it. Broken pixels are scattered to provoke a sense of disruption in what would otherwise be perfect symmetry, making the entire composition feel dynamic yet grounded.
