Artist Statement
This artwork captures the tension between fear and hope through a deliberate arrangement of colors that creates a dynamic emotional landscape. The dark colors signify fear, filling the corners to evoke a sense of encroaching anxiety. Conversely, soft gold and pale green dots emerge from the center, representing hope and light. The arrangement zigzags across the canvas, with sharper contrasts from darker to lighter shades, reflecting a rising signal of resilience against a backdrop of turmoil. The broken dots weave through the canvas, simulating rain as a cleansing force amidst the chaos. This composition not only adheres to an abstract framework but speaks to the cyclical nature of struggle and optimism.
