Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures the struggle between control and surrender, translating this duality into a visual tension where the cohesive radial patterns in the left quadrant reflect control, while the free-flowing dots in the right quadrant symbolize surrender. I chose a palette of warm and cool colors to evoke a sense of desire and emptiness, with the vibrant coral and orange embodying pressure and control, contrasting with the softer pink and blue, representing release. The main collision occurs at the center, where structure meets chaos, creating a visual dialogue between the two themes. Broken pixels provide imperfection, suggesting the fragility of this balance.
