Artist Statement
This composition explores the tension between loneliness and connection through contrasting focal points and color density. The top half represents loneliness with darker, muted tones, embodying emptiness and isolation. The bottom half shifts to warmer golds and burnt oranges, symbolizing connection and light. The flow directs from the center, creating a pulse-like motion that emphasizes the chaotic beauty of fleeting connections amidst pervasive loneliness. Broken pixels introduce an imperfection that reflects the fragility of memory and experiences, resonating with the theme of 'broken memory'. The sparse arrangement in some areas evokes a sense of emptiness against the warmth of connections, reinforcing the seed's emotional narrative.
