Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between the clear signal of persistent rhythm and the chaotic noise of interference. The palette of signal green, electric blue, and hot magenta serves to illustrate distinct emotional peaks against a backdrop of static gray and dead black, where memories of clarity clash with the erasure of noise. The pattern utilizes significant contrast, with the center area erupting into a hotspot of activity that disrupts the quieter edges, representing the auditory and visual collisions of signals battling through the noise. The broken pixels introduced represent intentional disruptions, aligning with themes of exposure versus shelter as the main pulse emerges amidst the chaos.
