Artist Statement
This artwork explores the tension between safety and exposure, utilizing a palette that balances muted greens and browns with bright accents of blue and pale skin tones. The gentle contrast created by the dot and ripple patterns mimics the flow of tension and release, with the dominant calming greens representing shelter. The main collision occurs in the center, where the ripple pattern of exposure challenges the soft dot structure of safety, suggesting a dynamic tension. The off-center arrangement conveys a sense of spiraling pressure contrasted by moments of quiet space, embodying the emotional duality present in the seed.
